Abstract:
Under the influence of cadmium ions during the metamorphosis of the tadpoles of the lake frog (Pelophylax ridibundus), ultrastructural changes in the structure of the cytoplasm, organelles and contacts of cardiomyocytes occur. Intracellular regenerative processes occurring in cardiomyocytes at different times of exposure to cadmium ions are expressed in an increase in the content of free ribosomes and polysomes in the cytoplasm, with the active participation of which the synthesis of new myofilaments occurs at the sites of their local lysis and the restoration of the structure of myofibrils sarcomeres.
